The Butterfly Series

Every year in the Spring the Krohn Conservatory in Cincinnati has a Butterfly Exhibition. I love to go with my camera and shoot pictures of the lovely butterflies.

Below are the first of the many to come in the Butterfly Series. These are Acrylic on 12X12" Canvas. Two of these will be shown at the Debut of my art this Friday at the Pendleton Art Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. The Address is 1310 Pendleton Street. The show starts at 6 P.M. and ends at 10 P.M. There is 8 floors of art, wine and snacks. Don't miss out on this wonderful opportunity. For more information visit my web site at www.raymondsvision.yolasite.com

Testing the Waters

Well, March 25th is quickly making it's way here! It will be my first art show and I'm very excited. I have been painting and framing and stringing my frames in prepping for this show. I have been researching and tasting wines so to bring them to the show. I want my "guest" to have the best experience ever! I want them to stay, look, enjoy, converse, and hopefully they will see something that they like and ultimately purchase.  Yet, even if they don't purchase they can say that they were at the Debut of Raymond Peters an emerging artist from Burlington, Kentucky!

Before that I upload my art to my website at www.raymondsvision.yolasite.com , I always load to www.paintingsilove.com/artist/raymondpeters . The reason is so that artist all over the world can see my art and give me feed back. It's incredible to get that feedback. Some of it is praise and some of it is constructive criticism.  It's all good because I can learn from that.

Like most painters and artist I am not famous and I don't plan on cutting my ear off or dying before I am famous. Fortunately for me there is this wonderful tool called the internet in which I can twitter, facebook and have my website. I am in the perfect time for this particular part of my life. I still have to pay the bills though and my wife, Sonia who is the greatest wife in the world has been supporting us by working overtime, I need to supplement my income. I have been researching companies to do so and pretty sure I know which company that I will go with.

I want to be my own boss so that I can have a schedule that I can work around my art and shows. I want a product that is proven to be good and that it helps people. I need a company that has a good standing in the stock market. I also want a company that has products that I can use my self so that I can reap the rewards of the product physically.

Currently I am looking at the company Herbalife which is the stock symbol HLF. As of Fridays close of business the stock was worth $79.37 per share. The CEO is Michael O. Johnson who was previously the CEO of Disney. In May of 2010 the stock was at 42.33 and the high was 81.20 on March the 9th of this year! That's a jump of over 37 points which is amazing in these recession times!

Today I am purchasing some of the products to lose weight. These are mixes for shakes. I want to see how they work and how they taste. More importantly I want to see how they work for me. I need to lose 182 pounds. Yes, I know the picture doesn't really give me justice. I am a fairly large man weighing in at a FAT 374 pounds. At a frame of 5 foot 11 inches tall this is NOT a good thing. I will keep you posted.

In regards to my art I have had a few pieces that I painted since we last spoke.
The Cliffs of Maui

Three Mallards
Paradise Lagoon
Somewhere in Cabo
Two Canadians in Kentucky
Jungle Falls
Grapes and Coffee
The Look
Butterfly on Marigolds

I hope that you enjoy! If you are in the Cincinnati area on March 25th which is Final Fridays come to the Pendleton Art Center on Pendleton Street just off of Reading. I'll be waiting in studio 509A with a glass of Wine just for you.
