So what is your Resolution?

As we finish out 2011 we reflect on what we have accomplished. What have you done this year? What have you achieved? Did you reached the goal that you had set at the beginning of the year? Who's lives did you touch or impact in a positive way?

Now let us look forward to 2012. What will you achieve? Who will you impact? What are your goals?

Some believe that the earth will be destroyed this year. Is it possible? Sure, anything is possible but I dare to dream further. If it does it will whether you like it or not.

Are you prepared if it does? I'm not talking about your will or your beneficiaries all though all of those are important. I'm talking about spiritually. If you are spiritually prepared everything else will fall into place.

The Scriptures say in

Matthew 6:33 KJV

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Sometimes we get so wrapped up in our troubles that we forget to talk to our heavenly Father first. It seems that we search for his help after we have tried everything else.
Pray about everything. Pray without ceasing. There is power in Prayer that is why that Satan who is the great deceiver wants you to think of prayer as folly and futile. He is powerless if you do but two simple things. Read the Bible and Pray. The reason for that is that when we do those two simple things God can speak to us thru his Word and we can speak to him thru our prayers!

Many would believe that God doesn't talk to us. He certainly does by speaking thru his Word that he left us. God inspired men of old to write this wonderful Word.

2 Timothy 3:16 KJV

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

You may say, "But I just don't understand this old antiquated Book!" Old, Yes but Antiquated, Never! Science is just now catching up with the Bible! When I read the Bible it is like reading tomorrow's newspaper!

How can you understand what you are reading?
First, you must know the author. If you don't know the author the message will not permeate your soul or your mind. If you have surrendered your life to Christ being born in the Spirit will open up the flood gates of knowledge and wisdom to this treasure of a book. Each day you will find nuggets of inspiration and food for the soul!

Secondly, you must allow the Spirit of God to teach you.

2 Timothy 2:15 KJV

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

1 Corinthians 2:13 KJV

Which things also we speak , not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth ; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

Normally, I open my Bible and then I bow my head to pray that God would show me what I needed for that day. Think of reading the Bible as a Spiritual feeding. Just like our physical body needs substance to stay healthy with the proper nutrition so does our Spiritual man.

Think about this. How many times a day do you eat? Now, How many times a day do you pray? How many times a day do you read your Bible?
So many times we become Spiritually Anorexic because we fail to pray or to read God's Word.

So one of the things that you may want to Resolve in your life is your Spiritual Life with God.
When you have a Strong Spiritual base with God, nothing can harm you. Satan will throw his worst at you but if your are equipped with the right armor and have the Sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God then he is powerless against you.
  • Ephesians 6:17 KJV

And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
  • Hebrews 4:12 KJV

For the word of God is quick , and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
Believe it or not, my friends, you are never alone! The troubles that you have every day is based upon spiritual warfare that is happening in and around you. There are things going on that you cannot see. God is my great protector.

He promises us,

Hebrews 13:5 KJV

Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have : for he hath said , I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

I would like to leave you with this fact. When the builders were building the Golden Gate bridge, they didn't have safety nets to catch the workers. Many men lost their lives because of the lack of this safety device. Work was slow because the men were afraid of falling to their deaths. The construction bosses had a bright idea! Why don't we have a safety net underneath the bridge for the safety of the men? What a concept! So they implemented this idea and found that because the men were no longer afraid the work production exceeded their expectations and they lost no more men due to falling.

What I'm saying to you is that Jesus is our safety net. He will not let you fall! He will not leave you nor forsake you.
So with that safety net, What are you going to do great this year?

I think and so I am!: The true spirit of Christmas.

I think and so I am!: The true spirit of Christmas.: As we walk thru our lives so many times it is easy to forget about the true spirit of Christmas. Christmas is not about money, fame, shoppi...

The true spirit of Christmas.

As we walk thru our lives so many times it is easy to forget about the true spirit of Christmas. Christmas is not about money, fame, shopping, presents but true love, peace, compassion and the giving of life, love, laughter and of ourselves.

I could not give you much but I can give you some of the beauty that I have seen and the talent God has given me thru the ability to capture a moment.

A time of serenity, peace and silence broken by the winds of change.

Any one can be a Santa Claus, even me. Being a Santa Claus doesn't mean the you have to have the hat, boots or even the sleigh but just a love and kindness toward your fellow man.

Yes, maybe a pinch of mystery doesn't hurt. We have forgotten that Christmas lives in all of us. We can share joy and love where ever we may go not just during the Holiday season but thru out the year!

A Christmas tree is such a beautiful thing but sometimes we have forgotten that the Christmas tree was the beginning of the  inevitable that it lead to the Cross on Golgotha where the ultimate gift was paid for us.

A lot of folks forget that the story doesn't end with the crucifix but extends far beyond that to life. As Winter shows the death of a season soon to explode into the beautiful life of Spring.

Remember, Christmas isn't about the presents but the giving of ourselves to our loved ones, our Country and our God. This can be monetary or in just giving of our time. When was the last time that you did something nice for a stranger? Let's take the Scrooge out of Christmas!

What If? Are you ready?

The other day I was watching the History Channel and they were talking about different scenarios of how the earth was going to be destroyed in the near future. One theory was about the extinction of man thru flood due to global warming the polar ice caps would melt and we would all drown.

According to the Scriptures in the Bible that has already been done via the great flood. I don't have to argue the point. We know that Noah's ark is on Mount Ararat so this is actually a scientific and historical truth.

In Genesis chapter 9 and verse 11 it says, And I will establish my covenant with you; neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of a flood; neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth.

Then in verses 12, 13, 15, 16 and 17
And God said , This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations:

I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth.
And I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh.
And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it , that I may remember the everlastingcovenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth.
And God said unto Noah, This is the token of the covenant, which I have established between me and all flesh that is upon the earth.

A Covenant is a promise or a contract if you will. This was between God and Man.

Then the History Channel spoke about how that there is the possibility of an Astroid that would hurdle from Space and crash to the earth causing horrific earth quakes, explosions, fires which would wipe out the human race.

They spoke to a few scientist that told them that was a very small percentage of their worries. The reporter ask them what their true fear was and they said, "That there would be cataclysmic volcano eruptions and the earth would be destroyed by fire."

Now this got my attention. Why? According to the Scriptures in the Bible this is the way that the earth as we know it will be consumed and destroyed!

Let me explain my theory.

We know the Mayans of the Yucatan believe that the earth will be destroyed 12/12/2112. That is the last day on the Mayan Calendar.

Did they know something that we didn't?
I have been to the Temple's in Talum and they are extremely precise in their construction.

I am reminded by a scripture in I Thessalonians 5:3 where it says, "For when they shall say , Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child ; and they shall not escape."

Also in the book of 2 Peter 3:2-12 there are some very interesting pieces of information.
"2 That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour: 3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, 4 And saying ,Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep , all things continue *as they were from the beginning of the creation. 5 For this they willingly are ignorant of ,that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water andin the water: 6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished : 7But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store , reservedunto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. 8 But, beloved, be not* ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. 9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish , but that all should come to repentance. 10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in thenight; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat , the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up . 11Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved , what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, 12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved , and the elements shall melt with fervent heat ?"

How could this happen?

According to the scientist there are some clues and signs on the horizons. One is Yellowstone Park.
I went to their website to check out the Volcano Q&A.

Q: How imminent is an eruption of the Yellowstone Volcano?
A: There is no evidence that a catastrophic eruption at Yellowstone National Park (YNP) is imminent. Current geologic activity at Yellowstone has remained relatively constant since earth scientists first started monitoring some 30 years ago. Though another caldera-forming eruption is theoretically possible, it is very unlikely to occur in the next thousand or even 10,000 years.
The most likely activity would be lava flows such as those that occurred after the last major eruption. Such a lava flow would ooze slowly over months and years, allowing plenty of time for park managers to evaluate the situation and protect people. No scientific evidence indicates such a lava flow will occur soon.

Q: How much advance notice would there be of an eruption?
A: The science of forecasting a volcanic eruption has significantly advanced over the past 25 years. Most scientists think that the buildup preceding a catastrophic eruption would be detectable for weeks and perhaps months to years. Precursors to volcanic eruptions include strong earthquake swarms and rapid ground deformation and typically take place days to weeks before an actual eruption. Scientists at the Yellowstone Volcano Observatory* (YVO) closely monitor the Yellowstone region for such precursors. They expect that the buildup to larger eruptions would include intense precursory activity (far exceeding background levels) at multiple spots within the Yellowstone volcano. As at many caldera systems around the world, small earthquakes, ground uplift and subsidence, and gas releases at Yellowstone are commonplace events and do not reflect impending eruptions.
*The YVO is a collaborative effort between the US Geological Survey, the University of Utah, and YNP to monitor and study the Yellowstone Volcano. Congress has given the USGS the responsibility of volcano hazard assessment, and YNP assists the USGS in their volcano monitoring effort.

Q: In regard to volcanic activity, is it safe to visit Yellowstone?
A: Yes. Scientists do not have any indication of an imminent eruption, or any eruption, at this time.

Q: What is park staff doing to monitor and assess the probability of an eruption?
A: The YVO maintains an array of instruments that monitor activities at Yellowstone around the clock. In addition, YVO scientists collaborate with scientists from all over the world to study and assess the hazards of the Yellowstone volcano. To learn more about Yellowstone's volcanic past and to view current data about earthquakes, ground movement, and stream flow, visit the YVO website at http://volcanoes.usgs.gov/yvo/

Q: When will the volcano erupt again? Will there be any warning? How much warning will there be?
A: The science of forecasting a volcanic eruption has significantly advanced over the past 25 years. Most scientists think that the buildup preceding a catastrophic eruption would be detectable for weeks and perhaps months to years. Precursors to volcanic eruptions include strong earthquake swarms and rapid ground deformation and typically take place days to weeks before an actual eruption. Scientists at the YVO closely monitor the Yellowstone region for such precursors.

Q: Is the volcano dormant or extinct or still active?
A: The Yellowstone Volcano is still active. Evidence for the activity of the Yellowstone Volcano are the 1,000 to 3,000 earthquakes per year, active ground deformation, and the over 10,000 thermal features found in Yellowstone.

Q: What is Yellowstone doing to prevent an eruption?
A: Nothing can be done to prevent an eruption. The temperatures, pressures, physical characteristics of partially molten rock, and the immensity of the magma chamber are beyond man's ability to influence--much less control.

Q: How will the park get the word out if there is an eruption?
A: The park would communicate accurate and timely information to park visitors, park employees, concessioners, surrounding communities, media outlets, and other interested parties through the park's 24-hour Communications Center; news releases; established emergency response programs; and through notification of appropriate interagency, state and local government agencies.

Q: Where would it be safe to be during an eruption?
A: For the most likely type of volcanic eruption in Yellowstone, everywhere would be safe except in the immediate vicinity of the advancing lava flow. In the highly improbable event of a large catastrophic eruption, the greater the distance from the eruptive center, the safer it would be. It is impossible to know the effects of the eruption without guessing at the explosivity of the highly unlikely eruption and the total amount of the material erupted.

Q: Would the public know about a possible eruption?
A: Yes. Scientists continuously monitor volcano activity in Yellowstone and share that information through news releases, web sites, etc. Current real-time-monitoring data are online athttp://volcanoes.usgs.gov/yvo/monitoring.html.

Q: If Old Faithful quits erupting, is that a sign the volcano is about to erupt?
A: Geysers are natural phenomena and as such, their behavior is unpredictable and subject to unexpected changes. Old Faithful is unique in that its eruptions have been frequent and relatively consistent during the last century or so of observations. We expect Old Faithful to change in response to the ongoing geologic processes associated with mineral deposition and earthquakes. Thus, a change in Old Faithful Geyser's eruptions will not necessarily indicate a change in volcanic activity.

All though, our Scientist friends at the History Channel tell us differently. They say that the Caldera erupted 600,000 years ago and we are due in 2012.

Here is my crazy little piece of thought. What if this coming year not just Yellowstone, not just Mount Saint Helens, Not Just Vesuvius, Not just the volcano's in Hawaii, Mount Fuji, and Iceland and Krocatoa but all of the volcanos were to erupt? What would happen? Could we survive that?

Here is the glimmer of hope.

If we look at the prophecy in the book of Revelation chapter 21 verses one and two, it says,"
And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away ; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

Maybe that sounds like a bunch of pie in the sky to you but what about this? http://www.washingtonpost.com/national/health-science/nasa-new-planet-just-about-right-for-life/2011/12/06/gIQACD44YO_video.html?tid=sm_btn_tw

You see my friends, We are catching up to the Bible.  The Bible is not catching up with us.
My question to you is, Are you prepared? I'm not talking about digging a hole in the ground and hiding. I'm talking about spiritually.

Amos told the Children of Israel that they need to prepare to meet their God. Amos chapter 4 and verse twelve. Therefore thus will I do unto thee, O Israel: and because I will do this unto thee, prepare tomeet thy God, O Israel.

We have had over two thousand years of warning and it is time for us to prepare.
