What Line are you in?

It is a new year. A year for many that will be the beginning and for some it will be their last. The Mayans and Nostradamus believe that this is the last year for everyone. They believe that the world will be destroyed this year. What evidence that they have to conclude this demise I know not. I only know that the Creator knows and that is good enough for me. Alas, I believe that we should live each day as though it were our last. Create something, help someone, love something or someone.
Many of us want to hold on to a stupid ideal or a grudge but isn’t it really futile? Isn’t it really pointless? If you believe in God or not it is pointless! We don’t believe in air yet somehow we need it. We can’t see it but we can feel it and taste it and smell it and we must have it.
Just as God, you can’t see him but you can feel his presence, taste his goodness, smell his essence and see what marvelous things that he has done! We need him so much in our lives. He allows the sun to rise and the moon and the stars to shine. He gives us water to drink, food to eat, sleep to calm us and air to breath. He allows us to be humans with wills as opposed to robots without the will to choose. He gives us life and he takes it away. Many are stricken with bone chilling fear when we think of death. Many don’t want to even think about insurance or even grave plots or how that their memorial service would be held or remembered. We want to shut it away in our minds. We say to ourselves out of sight, out of mind. Our day of reckoning is ever before us. Again only God knows the day, time and the place.
What do we do with the time? Do we set and feverishly worry? Do we hide in our homes and choose not to go out? Death can find you anywhere. So the best thing that you can do is to plan for your demise in terms of final wills and testimony. Preparations to be planned and then every day open your eyes and live to the fullest.
What would God have you to do? It wouldn’t be to fear death. Remember, Death is only a portal and you choose where you are going. The nice thing is there is only two places to choose. Do you want to go to Heaven? Or do you want to go to Hell?
A question was posed to me one time by a person that was a Jehovah Witness. “Do you believe that a God of love would burn one of his children?” I replied, “No.” Of course he jumped to the conclusion that he had won the debate. I continued, “Before that we are saved, the Bible states that we are of the Children of Wrath.”
  1. Ephesians 2:3 KJV
Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.

We are also called the children of disobedience.
  1. Ephesians 5:6 KJV
Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.
  2. Colossians 3:6 KJV
For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of      disobedience:
We are not HIS Children yet. We need to be adopted.
  1. Romans 8:15 KJV

  1. Ephesians 1:5 KJV
Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,
I am so glad that God adopted me. He didn’t have to but with his grace he courted me by the Holy Spirit and I gave myself to him on February the 8th 1968.
Did you know that according to law that if you are adopted that you can NEVER be disallowed from the will?

Life is like an airport. You walk into the door and look for the destination. A lot of people are drawn to the crowded line. They like it because it is so popular. It’s cool to be in this line because all of the cool people are there! To be in this line and to go to this destination there is simply nothing to do but to weight for your turn to step thru the door of death. There are actually some people that take the express lane of suicide because they just can’t wait to go to....Hell! Many have been hoodwinked into thinking that is where the party is.
Then of course there is another destination and a different gate. Not as many people there but there seems to be a serenity and a joy that cannot be explained. There is of course a price that must be paid but alas it was already payed for by Jesus Christ on Calvary. All that we must do to get into this line is to accept the reality of our sin, to ask forgiveness of our sin and to accept the free gift which is the ticket of Salvation. The line is not as easy but the rewards and the benefits are out of this world!
I think of the wonder of my late Father as he saw the portals of Glory for the first time. He came back for a day or two and he couldn’t explain it but when I looked in his eyes, I knew that he had seen something remarkable and unspeakable and full of Glory! He truly is in the Cosmic Bliss of God as Eternity rolls.
A friend of mine once said that She was a little afraid of what eternity would be like. To never truly die. For the lost it is truly Hell to never have the luxury of enjoying anything ever again. For the Believer it is truly blissful that forever never to be sick, hungry, but to be in the very presence of the Almighty Father! To enjoy him and for him to enjoy us eternally. An eternal pleasure. To be able to be uninhibited by this fleshly body. To fly, to soar, to think and just to be without want or care. To rule as Kings with the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords! Like the good Doctor said to the confused Michael Fox in Back to the Future, “Where we’re going you want need any of that!”
So again my friends, I pose the question, What will you do with the rest of your time? What is you passion? What is your dream? What is it that God wants you to do with the time alloted? Aren’t you supposed to be doing something with your life?
Do you believe that it is only to work, eat, sleep? I say, Bull Crap! You have a mission that you should be doing! God has called you for wonderful things! God doesn’t want you on the side lines! He wants you in the game!
